Exercise your right to VOTE

Central City Democrats (CCD) was formed and Chartered by the San Francisco Democratic Party in 2006 with a mission to:

-Support the Democratic Party and its goals

-Hold forums with public figures on community issues

-Endorse and support Democratic candidates and ballot measures

-Register voters and Get Out The Vote

-Publish information to assist voters and political analysts

-Sponsor voter educational forums


Who: Elected  leaders speaking at CCD meetings and events have included State Senators Mark Leno & Leland Yee, Hon. Carole Migden, Assemblymember Tom Ammiano, Board President David Chiu, numerous members of the Board of Supervisors, City Treasurer Jose Cisneros, Community College Board Trustee Chris Jackson, and many other elected officials or those seeking public office.



What: CCD hosts public debate forums with expert guest panelists from all sides of current political issues. We have registered voters and actively work on behalf of District 6, San Francisco, State and Federal ballot measures and candidates. CCD hosts fundraisers  and volunteers for endorsed candidates. Candidates, propositions and charter amendments are presented, discussed and vetted at our meetings. CCD also holds various social functions including our Annual Holiday Party.


Where: District 6 covers Cathedral Hill, Civic Center, Downtown, Inner Geary, Inner Mission, Little Saigon, Lower Market, Lower Nob Hill, Mid-Market, Mission Bay, Mission District, North Mission, Opera Plaza, Polk Gulch, Rincon Hill, Show Place, South Beach, South Park, Tenderloin, Theater District, Treasure Island, Union Square, Van Ness Corridor, Western Addition, Yerba Buena Island,  and Yerba Buena neighborhoods and business districts. CCD allows both residents and those who work in District 6 to become voting members.
