Endorsements for District 6 Supervisor on 11/6/18 race

Central City Democrats announce their choices as follows:

1st Christine Johnson
2nd Matt Haney
3rd No Endorsement (At least 2/3 approval needs to be obtained)

We would like to explain how some community groups are deciding to endorse candidates running for supervisor.

Dual Endorsement means that both candidates were selected as favorites

No Endorsement means that all endorsement entities were informed (that from 9/10/18 to 10/23/18 all write-in candidates for any office must file their Statements of Write-In Candidacy and Nomination Papers with the Department of Elections) and will become official candidates. So, 4 or more possible district leaders may be filed with the Elections Department, asking for your vote on 11/6/18. Central City Democrats wish to recognize their commitment to serve and wants to work to express their voices as potential community leaders, we encourage them to run as writing candidates.

Endorsement entities use the guidelines of at least a 50 percent plus one policy when doing their endorsements. If an endorsement their policy was already adopted then, we asked that consideration is given to endorse the potential of at least 4 candidates.

**Endorsement entities will be formally contacting the various District 6 candidate campaigns when they are ready to announce their official decisions.
