Central City Democrats take part in Streamline Endorsement process (Join us)

Central City Democrats endorsement interviews
WHEN: Saturday, August 16th from 9AM to 2PM
WHERE: LGBT Center, 1800 Market Street Room 301 (Gallery)
WHAT: Candidates and Ballot Measures will be interviewed by Central City Democrats Club members, Only current paid members will be able to vote.

We would like see our membership show up. So Please RSVP so the club can accommodate everyone.

In our city, many candidates running for office often travel great distances, endure traffic jams, and unreliable public transportation in order to reach local Democratic clubs in pursuit of endorsements. This results in rushed endorsement meetings and is a very frustrating experience for both the candidate and endorsing club. Twelve chartered San Francisco Democratic County Central Committee (SFDCCC) clubs will hold streamlined endorsement meetings at the LGBT Center (August 16th) and Washington High School (August 24th). This process will allow candidates to discuss their vision for the City in greater detail, allow for more time to meet community and club members before the endorsement proceedings begin, and help potential candidates build a better rapport with Democratic clubs. The streamlined endorsement process is tantamount to ensuring that this issue is resolved and Democratic voices are heard.
On August 16th the LGBT Center will host the:
Black Young Democrats of San Francisco
District 5 Democratic Club
Harvey Milk LGBT Democratic Club
Willie B. Kennedy Democratic Club
Central City Democrats
For their endorsements. Then, on August 24, Washington High School (600 32nd Avenue) will host the:
African American Democratic Club
Asian Pacific Democratic Club
Democratic Women In Action
Filipino American Democratic Club of San Francisco
Raoul Wallenberg Jewish Democratic Club
Irish American Democratic Club
New Avenues Democratic Club
For each set of dates, clubs will be endorsing for the November 2014 election of:
Ballot measures
Assembly
District Judge
BART
Public Defender
Assessor Recorder
Supervisor
